Results of the project on psychological barriers to environmentally conscious behavior

We present a summary of the results of a project aimed at investigating the psychological barriers to pro-environmental behavior and testing communication interventions to mitigate them.

Although the majority of people in Slovakia recognize the seriousness of climate change, this awareness often does not translate into concrete pro-environmental actions. Therefore, we investigated which psychological barriers prevent Slovaks from taking more effective action. At the same time, we tested which communication strategies can help overcome these barriers and motivate people to become more involved in the fight against climate change.
All information about the project, which was supported by the European Climate Foundation, can be found on the project website. You can download the information brochure here.
