Short description of the project:
The project aim is to survey beliefs & attitudes of the V4+ citizens and identify various types of political culture differing by adherence to democratic values. We expect to find such types as religious democrats, secular democrats, pre-political naïve parochials, post-political alienated cynics, and non-democratic radicals. These types will differ by their cognitive strategies, information sources, and also by misinformation, hoaxes they believe in. Results from representative national samples should help to identify the weaknesses of democratic societies and suggest educational remedies.
