Annotation:
Despite possible negative impacts of low trust levels, psychological research on trust in Slovak conditions is rather scarce. The main objective of this project is to investigate the relationship between basic types of trust (institutional, interpersonal, and dispositional) and verify a complex model of trust consisting of three dimensions: belief, intention, and decision to trust. The project also focuses on the investigation of specific cognitive and personality factors that contribute to the process of trust-building in domain-specific contexts (e.g. trust in refugees, individuals of different religions, physicians, financial or education institutions). The results of this project could be used for identifying levels of different types of trust and answering on which areas institutions and individuals should focus their interventions in order to increase their perceived trustworthiness.
